What’s the difference between Rock wool and Glass Wool?

Though the unit price of rock wool and glass wool is similar to each other, but the transportation and installation of glass wool is easier than the rock wool. Hence, comprehensively speaking, its total cost is lower than the rock wool actually.

 1. RAW MATERIAL
(1) Rock Wool: basalt;  (2). Glass Wool: glass

2. SOUND INSULATION EFFECT
There are lots of micro pores in the inner fluffy and interlaced fiber of the glass wool. So it is a kind of classic porous material which can absorb sound. Glass wool with bulk density of 24kg/M3 have the same sound insulation effect as the rock wool with that of 80kg/m3.

3.TRANSPORTATION
Fiber of glass wool is long and thin, so it can be rolled and adopts vacuum packing. After being compressed, it can save lots of transportation and store fee.

What’s the difference between PIR and PUR?

Both PUR and PIR are a kind of rigid PU. However, they have different physical properties and chemical properties. I . Difference between the raw material Rigid PU consists of polyol and isocyanate. Polyol can be divided into polyether glycol and polyester polyol.
