What’s the difference between XPS Insulated Panel and EPS Insulated Panel?

 (1) XPS insulated panel


  • It is a kind of rigid foam material with obturator structure, which is heated and extruded from polystyrol resin and its copolymer. 
  • it has the advantages of outstanding high-strength compressive strength, good hydrophobicity and moisture resistance, light texture, good stability and environmental friendly. Its heat-transparency index is lower than the EPS Panel, so its price is a little higher.

 (2) EPS insulated panel 



  • It is a kind of foam material with obturator structure, which is foamed and molded from polystyrol resin.
  • It is is widely used at present, but its insulation effect is unsatisfactory. It can absorb water, so if apply polystyrene foam board, we need to take some measures to water-proofing measures.

What’s the difference between PIR and PUR?

Both PUR and PIR are a kind of rigid PU. However, they have different physical properties and chemical properties. I . Difference between the raw material Rigid PU consists of polyol and isocyanate.
