What’s the difference between PIR and PUR?

Both PUR and PIR are a kind of rigid PU. However, they have different physical properties and chemical properties. I . Difference between the raw material Rigid PU consists of polyol and isocyanate. Polyol can be divided into polyether glycol and polyester polyol. Reaction between polyether glycol and will generate polyurethane foam(PUR); Reaction between polyester polyol and isocyanate will generate polyisocyanurate foam(PIR). II. Properties of PIR PIR  is a kind of deep cold heat insulating material, which can be applied at the temperature from -196°C to 120°C. It has the advantages of thermo-stability.
